The Annual International Conference “PRACTICE OF MARITIME BUSINESS”
merged together with the International Conference of Chartering Brokers and Shipowners “NOVO 2010”.

held the joint event in Odessa in Gran Pettine Hotel on the 3rd and 4th of June.
The Conference was supported by the London Maritime Arbitrators Association (LMAA), International Bar Association (IBA), Baltic and International Maritime Council (BIMCO), Odessa Regional and City Administration, Odessa Commercial Sea Port and Nautical Institute of Ukraine.
The issues covered at the conference were dedicated to Charter.

150 participants from 14 countries of the world arrived.
The Conference was attended by the experts in sea carriages, heads of the enterprises related to the maritime sector, ship owners, cargo owners, carriers, forwarders, surveyors and insurers.
The Deputy Head of the State Administration of Sea and River Transport Viktor Sudarev made a welcome speech and noted the importance of similar professional events for the sector development.
It should be noted that the speeches of Clive Aston (the LMAA arbitrator), Julian Clark (Partner of Holman Fenwick Willan), Arthur Nitsevych (Managing Partner of International Law Offices) and Alexanders Abuzyarovs (Director of Groupama Transport) were of great interest.
Expo Zone became the peculiarity of the conference as the guests placed their expositions there. They were mtbs, Hoegh Autoliners, Yacht. Flag and Policy.
The main goal of the conference, mainly, search for the optimal decisions when chartering the vessels and cargoes, analysis of the Ukrainian and foreign practice in chartering as well as establishment of new business contacts was successfully achieved.
The conference was held in a businesslike atmosphere, the delegates showed their interest and satisfaction in the contents of the speeches, the programme intensity and high level of the conference organization.
The atmosphere of hospitality and friendliness, the sea breeze and cordiality of the receiving party have left no doubts that the next conference of 2011 will be again held in Odessa.
Informal communication of the delegates proceeded on the 5th of June. The organizers have planned an amazing social programme for the whole day. First of all, the city tour, then, the football tournament with the very delegates from 5 countries having formed 3 teams and, after all, swimming pool and barbecue.
